Graduates Return -- Instructions for 8/31-9/4 for lockers/returning textbooks, etc.

Dear Class of 2020 parents and guardians, I hope this message finds you in good health! Yesterday, Assistant Principal, Dr. Gary Haber sent your graduates information on returning to Stuyvesant next week to clean out lockers and return textbooks and other items to Stuy. Below is the schedule, particulars and instructions. Additionally, here are some answers to questions/concerns that have come to me in the last 24 hours: * We are aware students do not see their Textbooks/Fees, Locker location and combination and owed items in Talos at this time, and this will be fixed expediently. When it is, the student must follow these directions to view: * Toggle the school year at the top right to 2019-2020 * Toggle the Term to Term 2 * Then click either “Textbooks” or “Lockers” * Family members who are coming in the graduate’s place do not need the graduate’s student ID or a copy. The family member needs to bring their valid photo ID, as per the normal entry procedure in place by School Safety and NYPD for entry to school buildings. We cannot allow a “friend” or “classmate” to take your belongings without consent from the graduate. Reach out to Brian Moran for this at bmoran@schools.nyc.gov<mailto:bmoran@schools.nyc.gov>. * If you or a graduate do not know or remember the locker or location; do not worry! We keep track, can assist and are able to provide the location/combination or open the locker. * If your child did not purchase a locker legitimately and/or shared a locker leaving items in a locker that does not belong to them - we will not know the location of that locker and students are strongly discouraged from this and we do not allow selling/trading/buying of lockers. * Any textbooks returned should PLEASE have a post-it or other indication inside the book with the student name and OSIS number, just in case the bar code sticker is removed or fell off the book. * Students with iPads on loan from the DOE should return them to Stuy at this time, we appreciate this. Please see below for Dr. Haber’s message with instructions and read them all carefully. Wishing you and your college students all the very best and missing you much.
