Good morning Stuy families,

Below is a courtesy copy of an email sent to grades 10-12 students from the Program office regarding the ability to drop an AP class if they wish from the AP classes they were accepting to.  Students have this capability in their Talos account and should be encouraged to read their stuy.edu emails and make their decisions by the August 26 deadline. As a reminder, this is not an available function on your parent Talos account.

Enjoy the weekend,
Dina

COPY OF EMAIL:

Hello Stuyvesant student,

We hope your summer is going well.

Please log onto Talos to review the AP courses you are accepted to for Fall term 2020.  This can be found by clicking the “Request Management Portal” function along the top banner once you log in.

You will be able to drop an AP course that you do not wish to take.  Please note: once you drop an AP course, you will NOT be able to add it back.  At this stage, you cannot request any additional courses, AP or otherwise.
To create a request to drop a course:
Click “+ Create Change” button
Click the “Drop” button next to the corresponding course you want to drop
Repeat this for as many courses as you want to drop
Review the list of “Actions” and verify those are the courses you wish to drop
Click “+ Create” button to create this drop request
We will review and process your request.

You will have until Wednesday, August 26th at 11:59pm EST to request any drops.
If you have questions or concerns about this process, please note that School Counselors are not working until September 8. Please limit your questions to only those absolutely necessary and send them to programoffice@stuy.edu
DO NOT reply directly to this email.  Please remember to include your name, official class, and OSIS number when emailing us.
