Dear Students and Families,

Given the cancellation of January Regents exams and the subsequent conversion of Regents week into instructional days, as well as ongoing concerns about how quarantine restrictions will impact the end of the semester, the Math and CS Department has made the following adjustments to their final exam schedule:

§  Final exams for Intro. Computer Science (MKS21, MKS21QA) and AP Computer Science (MKS21X) have been canceled. Individual teachers may still administer in-class exams as they see fit. Grading categories on Skedula/Pupilpath for marking period 3 will be updated to match the same categories and values as marking periods 1 and 2.
§  Final exams for Geometry (MGS21QT), Algebra 2 (MRS21, MRS21H), and Pre-Calculus (MPS21) will be administered on DeltaMath on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. The weight of the final exam has been reduced from 20% to 10%.
§  Additionally, Pre-Calculus students will take an in-class portion of the final exam on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Students will receive more information about the exam and preparation materials from their teachers.

Attached, please see a letter that each math teacher will distribute to their students explaining exam administration.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your math teacher, school counselor, or me.

Sincerely,
Eric Smith
