There will be a special schedule for all students on that date. The special schedule is below with a dedicated homeroom session for all students. Afterschool and PSAL activities will continue to take place, but the library will be closed. The DOE mandates that attendance be taken on March 22, 2023. Non-attendance on March 22, 2023 is marked as an absence. Please note, 9th, 10th, and 12th graders (and students in 11th grade who do not wish to take the SAT)do not report to school in the morning. They are to arrive at Stuyvesant High School and report to their homerooms by 2:05 pm (lunch will be available in the cafeteria for 9th, 10th, and 12th graders starting at 1:15 pm). October 11, 2022 Dear freshmen and seniors, As a reminder, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 Stuyvesant High School will administer the PSAT/NMSQT to interested 10th and 11th grade students in the morning. PLAN TO ARRIVE AT STUYVESANT AT THE TIME INDICATED FOR YOUR GRADE BELOW. Stuy 101 Freshman Parent/Guardian Workshop 9/29 @6:30pm

Good afternoon parents and guardians of the class of 2026, As a reminder, we will host our annual Stuy 101 Workshop tomorrow, Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 6:30pm in person in Stuyvesant’s theater. Our Parent’s Association’s Hospitality committee will provide snacks in the lobby and a chance for you all to meet and socialize before the event. We will open doors about 5:45pm. (There will also be a get-to-know you game and a chance for prizes!) Please join us in the lobby and enjoy some time with your fellow freshman families. Please enter through the main entrance on Chambers street. Please remember: Proof of vaccination and photo ID is still necessary to enter NYC DOE buildings. Please do not forget to bring both items (app, copy, photo of vaccine card is fine). We have requested interpretation in Mandarin, but are still working with the DOE and the vendor to secure interpreters. If you need Mandarin interpretation, please bring your phone with you and a headset so that you may dial into available interpretation. We hope that this service will be available, however, if they cannot provide interpretation we will work to have the information translated. Slides being shown already have interpretation as well. LIRR monthly pass instructions

Dear students and parents, On your first day of school, all eligible<https://www.schools.nyc.gov/school-life/transportation/bus-eligibility> students will be issued a Metrocard. If you live quite far from Stuyvesant, but close to an LIRR station, you may choose to invest in the monthly Student LIRR pass. You have two methods for how you would like to receive the monthly ticket: 1. Paper ticket obtained each month * To receive this, you must: * Go to an LIRR station attendant and ask for the MTA Application for School Ticket. This will be a form in triplicate. * Complete the top half of the form (including student and parent signatures) and bring to Room 236, the counseling suite. Our team member, Myles Sebastien, will complete the bottom half and place the school stamp on the forms. He will then hand this form back to the student. * The student then brings this form to a LIRR station attendant, along with payment (a student LIRR pass is not free, but rather is discounted), and they will be issued a paper ticket. * Student will complete these steps every month. * In order to secure your paper ticket ahead of the first day of school in September, please complete steps i & ii and bring the form to Ms. Pedrick at Stuyvesant on one of these days: Friday, September 2, Tuesday, September 6, or Wednesday, September 7, between the hours of 8am - 4pm. 2. eTix app will load new funds each month * To receive this, you must: * Download the MTA eTix app<https://new.mta.info/mta-etix> and establish your account. * Complete all highlighted sections of the attached MTA Application for School Ticket * Email this completed form to Ms. Pedrick at cpedrick(a)schools.nyc.gov<mailto:cpedrick@schools.nyc.gov>. * Please note, in order for you to have your eTix loaded with September’s funds, you must return this form to Ms. Pedrick by August 15th. If you miss that deadline, you will have to get a paper ticket for September and the eTix account will load for the month of October. We are sorry, but there is no student discount for the Express Bus.
