Dear students and parents,

On your first day of school, all eligible students will be issued a Metrocard. If you live quite far from Stuyvesant, but close to an LIRR station, you may choose to invest in the monthly Student LIRR pass. You have two methods for how you would like to receive the monthly ticket:

1. Paper ticket obtained each month

1. To receive this, you must:

1. Go to an LIRR station attendant and ask for the MTA Application for School Ticket. This will be a form in triplicate.

2. Complete the top half of the form (including student and parent signatures) and bring to Room 236, the counseling suite. Our team member, Myles Sebastien, will complete the bottom half and place the school stamp on the forms. He will then hand this form back to the student.

3. The student then brings this form to a LIRR station attendant, along with payment (a student LIRR pass is not free, but rather is discounted), and they will be issued a paper ticket.

4. Student will complete these steps every month.

5. In order to secure your paper ticket ahead of the first day of school in September, please complete steps i & ii and bring the form to Ms. Pedrick at Stuyvesant on one of these days: Friday, September 2, Tuesday, September 6, or Wednesday, September 7, between the hours of 8am - 4pm.
   
   

2. eTix app will load new funds each month

1. To receive this, you must: 

1. Download the MTA eTix app and establish your account. 

2. Complete all highlighted sections of the attached MTA Application for School Ticket 

3. Email this completed form to Ms. Pedrick at cpedrick@schools.nyc.gov.

1. Please note, in order for you to have your eTix loaded with September’s funds, you must return this form to Ms. Pedrick by August 15th. If you miss that deadline, you will have to get a paper ticket for September and the eTix account will load for the month of October.

We are sorry, but there is no student discount for the Express Bus.
