Chancellor's Family Letter and Reminders Regarding Supporting Immigrant Students

This letter reminds families that New York City Public Schools is dedicated to protecting the right of every student to attend public school, regardless of immigration status, national origin, or religion; encourages families to continue sending their students to school; notes that we do not track students’ immigration status; and informs families about our protocols regarding non-local law enforcement entering our schools, as we continue to train staff on these protocols. As it’s not yet resolved, we encourage you to check your Marking Period 3 report cards on either your Talos account or your parent NYC Schools Account. If you use Talos, please ensure you toggle to the 2024-2025 Term 1 school year and click GRADES then MP3. We will send out report cards with translations via email as soon as the issues are resolved.
