Dear students and parents/guardians in grades 9-11,

There are two important announcements in this email - please read to the end.

There will be a final opportunity to clean out hallway and/or PhysEd lockers on May 18 and May 19 from 2:30-4:30pm. Textbooks have been removed from lockers and returned already, so you do not need to come in to return textbooks that were left in lockers. Textbooks that are at home should be brought in with a post-it inside the book with the student’s full name and OSIS number.
Locker information can be found in Talos (you must click on 2019-2020 school year and Term 1). If a friend or family member is coming to retrieve items from a locker, they must have the locker location information prior to coming in.
This will be the final opportunity to retrieve items before lockers are cleaned out. All remaining items will be discarded or donated. Please email Mr. Moran with any questions at bmoran@schools.nyc.gov.

For Athletes on PSAL teams:

Due to our current schedule and not having athletes make request via the ZQT-10 form for release from 10th period, we expect that students may have to miss parts of period 5 and 10 on days when they have a game or match.Students must attend those classes and stay for at least half the class (about 2pm) before leaving their homes to travel to the game. We encourage students to remain connected to the class for as long as possible and make up any work missed asynchronously. It is the student's responsibility to inform their teachers on the day they have a game.

Very important: For athletes planning to join a PSAL team in Fall 2021 Semester:
A PARENT MUST READ/THE FORM.

If a student wishes their Fall semester program to reflect a ‘free’ 10th period to participate in practices and games, the request for this this early program must be submitted no later than June 4, 2021.  This request is based on an anticipated need to be excused after 9th period class in order to participate on a Fall PSAL team.

Wherever possible, a student who requests this will be able to be programmed for this special schedule provided that their request for courses do not extend the school day. Students will need to complete their academic day by the end of 9th period.

All eligible student athletes/parents must request ZQT10 (no 10th period) prior to scheduling by submitting this form by Friday, June 4, 2021. Should the student request extra courses for academic reasons, it will cause the student to be automatically removed from the ZQT10 list.

**ZQT10 will not be restored once given up to satisfy academic requests or requirements.

Any questions and/or concerns may be directed to Athletic Director, Mr. Peter Bologna at pbologn@schools.nyc.gov

FILL OUT THE ZQT-10 FORM ONLY IF YOU ARE REQUESTING THIS SCHEDULE FOR PSAL SPORTS PARTICIPATION AT THIS LINK: https://forms.gle/CZmpBLbBVcii8cUBA
