There are still tickets available to join us for the return to the live stage of our Spring Concerts! Tickets sales will end at 3pm for the Musical Showcase tonight, Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 6pm. We also are proud to present our Instrumental Spring Concert that will take place on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 6pm live in the Murray Kahn theater at Stuyvesant. The Instrumental Spring Concert, will feature Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, and some Chamber groups. Dear students, Attached is Mr. Blumm’s Opportunities Bulletin for the week. Enjoy a restful Spring Break and note, there are no new HW or projects assigned over the holiday and no testing on Monday, April 25, 2022; the date of our return to school. Please see the announcement below for grades 9-11 on behalf of Stuyvesant’s ARISTA Honor Society. Applications are due April 27. 2022. Be well, Ms. Ingram Dear freshmen, sophomores and juniors, Member applications for ARISTA, Stuyvesant’s Honor Society, have opened! If you are interested in bettering your community, both within Stuyvesant and throughout NYC, then we highly encourage you to apply. Our members uphold the four pillars of scholarship, character, service, and leadership by volunteering with organizations across the city, leading Office Hours sessions, and providing one-on-one peer tutoring, and participating in our 3 committees, among many other opportunities. Although it is a significant commitment, ARISTA members are an important part of the school community, and gain invaluable experience as leaders. While ARISTA members have typically consisted of motivated juniors and seniors, we are continuing with the select Sophomore Program to give underclassmen a chance to complete service and gain mentorship from upperclassmen ARISTA members. Members of the Sophomore Program have significantly reduced credit requirements. All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors with an overall GPA of 92 and above are welcome to apply by creating an account at apply.stuyarista.org<http://apply.stuyarista.org>. You will be required to write two short essays, which will be used to consider your application along with your activities and community engagement inside and outside of Stuyvesant. Applicants will be invited back to an interview upon completion. Applications are due on Friday, April 29th at 11:59pm. Applications will be reviewed anonymously by the Executive Council and our Faculty Advisor, Mr. Wisotsky, with decisions released in May.
