Special Schedule for 6/26 and 6/27/2023

Dear students and families, On Monday, June 26, there will be a regular bell schedule for grades 9, 10, and 11. Graduates will report to the Barclays Center by 7:30am as per the letter from Mr. Polazzo sent on Thursday, June 22 by Ms. Ingram If you have questions regarding the graduation ceremony, please reach out to Mr. Polazzo at polazzo(a)stuy.edu<mailto:polazzo@stuy.edu>. On Tuesday, June 27, students will have a delayed start at 9:20am with student dismissal at 2:50pm. Please review the special schedule for all students, including seniors, who will receive diplomas and yearbooks during an extended homeroom. Grades 9-11 will have activities in homeroom. Dear Stuyvesant Students and Families, It is with both happiness for Assistant Principal McAuliffe and sadness for us that I share the news of Ms. McAuliffe’s departure at the end of this school year. Ms. McAuliffe will be the new Principal, I.A., at P.S. 55, Henry M. Boehm Elementary School in Staten Island starting July 1, 2023. I am so grateful for Ms. McAuliffe’s leadership during her time at Stuyvesant. She has consistently been full of positive energy and optimism in helping lead during the challenging and more stable times these past few years. I have been so impressed with her enthusiasm and support for her team’s many achievements in World Language, Music, and Art (which she led in the past), which consequently, produced an abundance of opportunities for our young people to showcase their talents and abilities inside and outside of the classroom. Ms. McAuliffe has worked in partnership with all constituents to help make Stuyvesant an exemplar for excellence in all the varied endeavors pursued. I want to thank her for her dedication, hard work, and leadership during her time at Stuyvesant. Her new community will be fortunate to have her lead their school. Dear Stuy Community, Stuyvesant proudly announced that there are 55 in the Class of 2023 who will be awarded the NY State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB) this year! The ceremony is today, Tuesday, June 13 at 3:00pm on zoom where all NYSSB awardees will be celebrated by the NYCDOE Division of Multilingual Learners. Good evening students and families, Due to the Health Advisory issued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for all five boroughs on Thursday, June 8, all activities at the school building are cancelled and/or postponed, including Camp Stuy.
