Naviance accounts for freshmen students

Dear parents and guardians, This morning, all freshmen were emailed directions and instructions on accessing their student accounts on Naviance from the College Office at their stuy.edu<http://stuy.edu> email address. In order for parents to access Naviance and be connected to their student, there are specific instructions for the student to follow to add their parents’ email address. Your child may read these every time they log in on the opening homepage by clicking “read more” in the first box. You may read the instructions at this link on our school website: https://stuy.enschool.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=126943&type=d&termRE… Naviance is a web-based tool that schools use to communicate with colleges. Freshmen need not use it now for anything but exploration, and neither do you! Feel free to access the tutorials and any resources once added to your child’s account and click anything — you cannot break it and nothing you do there is seen by colleges. We have some special things in store! After the webinar, you may join break out zoom sessions by homeroom until noon — we will send you a link of which homeroom zoom to join. Virtual Field Day with Big Sibs for incoming students

Good morning incoming families! Below is a message sent on behalf of the Big Sib Chairs. Please note that the event below is not organized or attended by any school staff. It is student-organized and run and families may make their own decision as to whether they would like their child to participate. We encourage students to build friendships and know this is a particularly difficult time period to do so for the incoming freshman and those coming into 10th grade. Our Big Sibs strive to mentor and assist our incoming Little Sibs to their new environment at Stuy whether remote or blended. See their message below! Your child will have the opportunity to bond more with their six Big Sibs and homeroom classmates. Please make sure your child is checking their Stuy email regularly over the summer to stay updated on how to connect with their Big Sibs. The Big Sib Program will also be doing individual check-ins with each incoming freshman, so tell your child to be on the lookout for more information about these one-on-one meetings with his or her Big Sib!
