Chancellor's Return to Schools next meeting is on July 28 Registration link

Dear Stuyvesant Community, I hope you were able to tune in to the Chancellor’s Return to Schools 2020 live stream this evening. He provided many long awaited answers to questions you have asked about such as whether temperatures will be taken if you return to schools - yes - and whether schools will be cleaned and disinfected nightly - yes - and whether ventilation systems have been checked and maintained - yes. He also answered questions regarding music classes, and physical education and how the DOE and UFT are in discussion about expectations regarding live instruction and extending perhaps the summer school model. The summer school model right now is that each 1.5 hour period daily begins with half of it in synchronous instruction. He discussed the DOE supplying PPE to schools as well as sanitizer and training staff members. I hope you were able to catch some of it. Chancellor's Meeting TOMORROW 7/16

Dear Stuyvesant Community, Separate and apart from the SLT meeting occurring this afternoon is the meeting with the Chancellor tomorrow evening, Thursday, July 16 for families. Registration is open and you may submit questions directly to the DOE. You may want to register AFTER today’s SLT meeting to formulate your questions with FULL information. Translation is available in Spanish and Chinese. FACE will be hosting Family and Student Information Sessions during the summer to provide information about re-opening. The first session will be on Thursday, July 16, 2020, from 6:30-7:30 PM (flyers attached).
