Dear students and families, As a reminder, fall registration for Advanced Placement (AP) exams has been ongoing. AP exam registration is required for students who desire to sit for AP exam(s) and can only be completed by students at myap<https://myap.collegeboard.org/login>. Students use the Join Code provided by their teachers if they are currently enrolled in an AP course. The AP Exam payment portal is now open. Payment for AP exams is a separate step from AP exam registration. Registration * The deadline to register for AP exams that correspond to full-year AP Courses is Wednesday, November 8, 2023. * Students must register at myap<https://myap.collegeboard.org/login> using the join code provided by their AP teacher. * Registration for spring single-semester AP courses will not open until February 2024. * This includes AP Comparative Government and Politics, AP Physics 2: Algebra-Based, AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism,, AP Microeconomics. * Students who are not currently enrolled in an AP course but wish to register for an AP Exam and self-study had the opportunity to request an exception by 10/29/2023. The request period has ended. * Those approved for an exception will receive a join code from Dr. Haber to register at myap<https://myap.collegeboard.org/login>. * Students who are approved for an exception will not receive a code from a teacher. Following receipt of the join code from Dr. Haber, students or their parents/guardians must make payment (if applicable) through the AP Examination Payment Portal<http://stuy.enschool.org/apps/forms2/?f=22048> by November 8, 2023. Payment * All those registered should pay (if applicable) for AP exams by Friday, November 8, 2023 at 11pm. * Payments for AP exams are made through the AP Examination Payment Portal<http://stuy.enschool.org/apps/forms2/?f=22048> and can be made by students or parents/guardians. The cost of each AP Exam is $98 plus additional processing fees. Students will be able to sit for AP exams only if they have registered at myap<https://click.e.collegeboard.org/?qs=d628c16de1a60de01ed8c864f02f0c8a5f56de8...> and they or their parents have paid for the exam on the AP Examination Payment Portal<http://stuy.enschool.org/apps/forms2/?f=22048> (if applicable)*. * Do not check off or pay late fees if you registered and are paying by November 8, 2023. * Payments for AP exams will be only collected electronically using the AP Examination Payment Portal<http://stuy.enschool.org/apps/forms2/?f=22048>. * Families may cancel their registration through their College Board My AP account through November 15, 2023 at 11pm without incurring fees. Cancellation and ‘no show’ fees for registrants will not be waived by the college board. The cancellation fee is $40 per exam after November 15, 2023. *NOTE: Students who qualify have historically had their AP exams fees waived by the NYC Department of Education (NYC DOE). If this letter indicates a status of “NO COST”, students should register only; and not pay for exams using the payment portal. This does not apply to late registration fees and/or no show and cancellation fees. Do not check off or pay late fees if you register by November 8, 2023. Families may complete the Family Income Inquiry Form<https://www.myschoolapps.com/Home/PickDistrict> if the “source” indicated on this letter reads “No Application”. You may also fill out the form to ratify your current status. It takes several days to reflect entries and/or changes in the school’s system. Fees must be paid by the deadline whether the status changes or not. If refunds are necessary, they will be processed before the end of the school year. AP Exam Schedule Please note, the schedule students see on their College Board accounts may not be the schedule that Stuyvesant will follow. We will post a schedule for AP Exams at Stuyvesant High School on the School Website at the start of the spring 2024 term.
